I’m Milly – I am the founder of “I Do in Africa” – Africa’s wedding hub. I am a lawyer by profession and writer by passion. I love being African and I am committed to celebrating and sharing the continent and all the beauty and culture in it.
There will never be an experience more rich than choosing to have your wedding on the African continent. The culture. The love. The landscape. The people. The beauty. The splendour. I promise you, there is nothing like it. That is why am committed to making Africa the destination of choice for brides and grooms.
I Do In Africa us here to connect Africa’s best venues and suppliers with Brides and Grooms who are keen to say “I do” in Africa!
How it all started
To be honest, IDIA was born out of sheer frustration, coupled with the love of the African continent and the desire to celebrate our beautiful cultures through weddings.
Frustration because, while planning our own weddings, there just was not enough information about planning weddings in Africa. While there is some information about Venues, there is not a “one-stop-shop” hub, that allows Brides and Grooms to compare and find what is best for them. There is certainly a lack of information on finding wedding vendors.
